Tony Doherty as everybody knows is the owner of the chain of gyms in Australia named Doherty’s Gym.

It can be called the mecca of bodybuilding in Australia. Some of the top bodybuilders in the world have come out of that gym and as well the best bodybuilders in the world have trained there at some point in their career.

I see Tony as one of the greats in the industry. His inspirational talks are always great and he can be compared to Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone when it come to talking about chasing a dream and starting from nothing.

Today, while scrolling through Facebook, Tony was live on Facebook as usual, but this time his talk was about getting back to the basics in the gym.

This was a very interesting and informative talk that everybody can relate to.

In the modern bodybuilding world, we must admit, things have become a bit complicated. And sometimes the person going to the gym for the first time will get confused and sometimes will not go back.

Not everybody is going to step on the Olympia stage or even compete, some just go to the gym to relax and start the day on the right track.

Tony explains everything in the easiest way to understand. Starting from his talk about diets and how he managed to get his life together. Just taking away the simple things like sugar, bread and other junk will already make a big difference.

Doherty then moves on to talk about training. Nothing complicated, just a good workout with cardio.

This industry is moving too fast and it is great that leaders like Tony are telling people to step back and go back to the basics.

Tony is not walking on the Olympia stage (he is too busy organizing the Arnold Classic’s),  he is a business man that works 15hrs a day and still finds time to train and he made a great difference in his life.

To date, this is one of the best talks so far regarding training and diet. Now if your a elite competitor you might say this is ridiculous, but how many elite competitors are there. tony is representing all the other people that use the gym as part of their lives to feel good mentally and physically.

Great talk Tony, it was a great way to start the day, or end the day… depending on where you live!
