I love bodybuilding as a sport or whatever you would like to call it. I watch all the bodybuilding shows and listen to all the radio shows that are produced each week by many of the top sites.

I respect everybody for the work they do related to the sport, even if I do not agree with them 100%, but that is how we make the sport better.

But yesterday, RXMuscle’s show Iron Rage with John Romano crossed the line.

The subject was about the incident in Greece when a Greek bodybuilder slapped one of IFBB’s highest officials Armando Marquez for no reason at all.

First of all, the MC or the ‘guy’ as you refer to him as is named Armando Marquez. If RXMuscle.com report bodybuilding in general they should know who he is and what he contributes to the sport.

John Romano went on to say that this added excitement to the sport and that Armando should of got up and punched him back, in his own colorful way.

How could he be right in any way?? Armando got up and acted as a gentleman. He represents the IFBB and he acted in the best way possible.

How can the IFBB put up with this kind of comments regarding some of their highest officials? Don’t these comments instigate more violence?

This bodybuilder showed no respect to the IFBB, Armando and as well IFBB President Dr. Rafael Santonja!!

How would Dave and John react if this happened to Bob Cicherillo and IFBB Pro President Jim Manion?

One must remember, Jim Manion represents the IFBB Pro League and the NPC while Dr Rafael Santonja represents the IFBB Amateur League and IFBB International all over the world, so respect must be shown as he is filling the shoes of the Weiders on a international level!!

The show belongs to Dave Palumbo and he can have people say what they want, but if you want to represent or promote the sport in a good way, this is not the way to do it.

Romano is a funny guy and has been in the sport of bodybuilding for a long time and is respected by many, but his comments on this incident are totally wrong.

The IFBB is not the World Wrestling Federation. If a bodybuilder wants to slap people around, he can take up wrestling.

Was Mike Tyson right for biting Holyfield’s ear off? As much as I respect Mike Tyson, he was totally wrong!!

What I cannot understand is that Dave Palumbo on his own show, that he recorded after the incident admitted that what happened was wrong!

Like it or not, he bodybuilder received a life ban and he deserved it for the incidents that took place.

Now, Romano will probably say “Who the hell is Kevin Grech?? and how can he criticize me?” Well I have been following the sport for most of my life and gladly I know what is right or wrong.

Watch the video below and see how Dave and John contradict themselves on different shows:
