WATCH: “Why I will not compete at the Indy Pro” – Jose Raymond
Fan favorite, Jose Raymond ‘The Boston Mass’ has unfortunately decided to skip the 2018 IFBB Indy Pro contest that is taking place on March 31, 2018.
This video was made just a week out from the 2018 Arnold Classic. Jose managed to take fifth spot.
Jose explained to his fans that he wanted to do some tests regarding his health. He explained that it is nothing major but it basically is digestive problems. Since he has a family history of colon cancer, he wants to take some tests to make sure everything is right.
Jose Raymond did send out the message that he will still step on the 2018 Olympia stage and don’t be surprised if he is at his all time best. Jose is already qualified for this event, so he has time on his hands.
In other news regarding Jose Raymond, Jose posted a photo on his official Instagram page waiting in the hospital.
This is what he had to say:
theebostonmass All shot up with Dye & ready for MRI on my hip!! Time to figure out if it’s arthroscopic labrum surgery or a new hip!! Stay tuned.
Hopefully, Jose will not need any major surgery as getting a hip replacement can possibly put an end to his career at the age of 43.
Jose still has to give an update on the outcome of the tests.
We wish him the best and hope to see him on the competitive stage soon!
