The bodybuilding world is in mourning after the news of the death of Women’s Physique athlete Kristyn Lia.
According to sources close to this website, Kristyn was only 39 years old, and the cause of death was not known at the time of publishing this article.
Kristyn’s last post on her Instagram page was approximately a week before her death.
Kristyn’s close friend Amanda Snooks, confirmed the news on her Instagram page.
“I really wanted to wait to post this to make sure family and loved ones have been contacted and respect their loss. But my heart hurts so much. Last week my dear friend @krissy_with_gunz_ifbbpro passed away. Please do your best to respect those who love her. I am at a loss for words. Please check on your friends. This has shocked so many of us. I did think it was important to post it because she was loved by so many in the bodybuilding industry and those people deserve to know as well. RIP my sweet girl. Kristyn was an active competitor within the IFBB Pro League, starting her career in Australia, and moving to the USA to continue excelling as a Female Physique competitor.
Starting her pro career in 2022, Kristyn competed in 6 IFBB Pro events, with her best placing being at the Atlanta Pro in 2023.
Kristyn was already preparing for the 2024 season, with her new coach Hyacine Nassir, according to various posts on her Instagram page.
