2021 Chicago Pro: Hunter Labrada the best of the rest.
The 2021 Chicago Pro continued with an exciting second day of events. The highlight of the evening was Hunter Labrada finishing on top, to qualify for the 2021 Mr. Olympia.
The 2021 Chicago Pro was one of the most talked about event in recent months, especially the bodybuilding open class.
With a very few Mr. Olympia qualification opportunities available at this time in the season, the Chicago Pro was a very important event for some of the top athletes.
The highlight of the evening was Hunter Labrada winning the event to qualify for the 2021 Mr. Olympia.
The 2021 Mr. Olympia will be Hunter Labrada’s second consecutive qualification in his competitive career. At last year’s Mr. Olympia, Hunter finished in eighth place, an impressive result on his debut.
It was not an easy victory for Hunter with Roelly Winklaar, Maxx Charles and Hassan Mostafa fighting for the top spot.
When the smoke cleared, Hunter Labrada was the last man standing, holding the sword that represented his victory.
Hunter Labrada worked hard for this contest, making sure he took care of every detail. From his physique to his posing, Labrada was unbeatable. Legendary bodybuilder Lee Labrada was a very proud father, witnessing his sons success.
From out of nowhere, Bret Wilkin climbed up the ladder to finish in second place, ahead of the other veteran competitors.
Presenting a very balanced physique, he combined the right package to finish ahead of Roelly Winklaar and Maxx Charles.
Maxx Charles had to settle for third place. Maxx was well prepared for this contest, but he just could not get the win.
It was not that Charles was not in good shape, he unfortunately found Labrada and Bret in top condition.
Fourth place went to Mohamed Shaaban and fifth to Roelly Winklaar.
Many believed that Roelly Winklaar would earn his Olympia qualification by winning this event.
Roelly Winklaar last competed in 2019, the year many believed that he was the favorite to win the 2019 Mr. Olympia.
Presenting a good physique, Roelly was unfortunately not at his best. He did not have the freaky look that we are used to seeing. Maybe underestimating his competition, Roelly found out the hard way that the younger competitors are there to do business.
Not all is over for Roelly, he still has a chance to qualify for the 2021 Mr. Olympia. He has opportunities to compete in Tampa, Texas and at the Europa Pro in the next few months.
The freakiest guy on stage was Hassan Mostafa. Again, this guy packs on a ton of muscle, but unfortunately, he does not present the shredded physique the judges want to see.
If everything comes together for Hassan, he will practically be unbeatable. We believe he will solve this problem, and when he does, it will be a joy to see.
