Athletes shine at the 2021 IFBB Malta National Championships.
The 2021 IFBB Malta National Championships took place on 21 August, 2021, at the Corinthia Hotel, St. Georges Bay.
The IFBB Malta National Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships was another great success, with a mix of new talent and veteran athletes competing against each other.
The event offered 13 divisions of competition, giving the athlete the opportunity to select the best discipline to excel in.
The level of competition was very high, giving the judges a very difficult job to select the winners.
It was an evening with new athletes being crowned National Champions. In the bodybuilding division, veteran bodybuilder Roderick Theuma was crowned National Champion for the second time in his career.
Roderick had a great battle against newcomer Jason Grima and James Matthew Cassar.
Roderick is also eligible to compete as a pro after he earned his IFBB Elite Pro status in Luxembourg, earlier this year. For the time being, Roderick decided to continue competing as an amateur in international events such as the IFBB Diamond Cup, Arnold Classic Europe and IFBB Europan Championships.
Winners of each division also earned an invite to the 2021 IFBB Diamond Cup Malta. This event will be taking place 28-29 August, 2021, at the Dolmen Hotel, Bugibba, Malta.
A number of athletes will also be representing Malta at the 2021 Arnold Classic Europe, 17-19 September, 2021.
IFBB Malta President Ral,ph Decelis and his dedicated committee as in previous years, organized a very professional event, giving the athletes a great stage to shine on.
