New stars are born at the 2021 IFBB Malta Diamond Cup – Elite Pro Show
The 2021 IFBB Diamond Cup and IFBB Elite Pro Show Malta took place between 28-29 August, 2021 at the Dolmen Hotel in Bugibba, Malta.
A good number of amateur and pro athletes made the trip to Malta from all around Europe to participate in these prestigious international events.
The IFBB diamond Cup Malta has always attracted some of the top athletes from all over Europe, launching the very successful careers of a number of athletes.
The goal for every amateur athlete is not only to win but also to earn the prestigious IFBB Elite Pro card.
The event in Malta was also a great opportunity for athletes to start their competitive run of events, leading up to the 2021 Arnold Classic Europe that is taking place in Seville, Spain, 17-19 September, 2021.
As usual, IFBB Malta President Ralph Decelis and his hard working committee, organized a very professional event.
IFBB President Dr. Rafael Santonja also made the trip to Malta, enjoying the event and sharing his vast experience in bodybuilding with all the athletes. As usual, Rafael was welcomed by athletes and spectators with open arms.
During the event, Dr. Santonja expressed the importance of fitness and living a healthy lifestyle. Also, he was very grateful to IFBB Malta President Ralph Decelis for organizing such an event.
IFBB President Dr. Rafael Santonja also was very excited to announce that the 2021 IFBB Mediterranean Championships will be organized in Malta 20-21 November, 2021. With Malta being in the center of the Mediterranean, it is the ideal location for such prestigious events that bring the bodybuilding and fitness world together.

The 2021 IFBB Diamond Cup was not the only international event during the weekend. IFBB Malta also organized an IFBB Elite Pro event. Three open and three master class events were organized.
The biggest and most popular event was the IFBB Elite Pro Bikini event. 17 of the top professional bikini athletes competed for the top prize.
Fighting her way to the top was Malta’s Sabrina Grima. This was Sabrina’s debut on the IFBB Elite Pro stage, after earning her Elite Pro status at the 2020 IFBB Diamond Cup Malta.
Dedicating her life to fitness, Sabrina is a very successful instructor in the fitness industry, while at the same time establishing herself as one of the top international Bikini athlete’s.
Grima will now look to the future with the drive to continue competing against best athletes on the pro circuit
Evolutionofbodybuilding.net spoke to Sabrina immediately after her victory and she explained that this was a very emotional victory. After having to go through the most difficult year in her life, Sabrina explained that if it was not for her family and friends pushing her to compete and follow her dreams, she would have not achieved this great victory.
It was evident in her celebrations that this was a great accomplishment and she immediately dedicated her victory to a very special person in her life.
In the Master’s Bodybuilding event, Poland’s Andrzej Kolodziejczyk edged past 2020 World Master’s Champion Tomas Kaspar to earn his victory. Andrzej was the better man on the evening earning a well deserved victory.
