Big Ramy’s rocky road to the 2022 Mr. Olympia.
Big Ramy’s road to the 2022 Mr. Olympia has not been a smooth one. Since winning his second Mr. Olympia title last December, Big Ramy lost his main sponsor and recently did not attend the Pittsburgh Pro to guest pose.
Big Ramy has been criticized for not being the ideal Mr. Olympia, in regards to promoting the event and the title.
Big Ramy is a super star in his home country, but in regards to being active on social media or to the bodybuilding industry in general, he has not been successful.
Losing his sponsorship for his lack of guest posing and making himself available, is just one of the problems that Big Ramy has had to deal with.
Leading up to the 2022 Pittsburgh Pro, Big Ramy was advertised as being one of the guest posers at the event.
The Pittsburgh Pro, is organized by NPC/Pro League President, Jim Manion. In the past, it was allegedly mandatory for the top male and female bodybuilders to guest pose at this event.
Basically, the athletes allegedly could not refuse to guest post at the President’s own event.
In recent years, with more foreign bodybuilders competing at the Mr. and Ms. Olympia, the number of athletes have declined for the guest posing part of the event.
At the 2022 Pittsburgh Pro, only four guest posers were promoted in the lead up to the big event. The guest posers were Nick Walker, Hunter Labrada, Brandon Curry and Big Ramy.
When it was time for the event, Big Ramy was a no show and 212 Olympia winner, Derek Lunsford was there to replace Big Ramy and stole the show.
At the time of publishing this article, Big Ramy or his team have not revealed the reason why he did not make it to the Pittsburgh Pro.
Bodybuilding fans from all over the world, wanted to see Big Ramy in the lead up to the 2022 Mr. Olympia, standing next Nick Walker and Brandon Curry at the Pittsburgh Pro.
Big Ramy lost the opportunity to prove he is the best bodybuilder in the world, even in the off-season. Instead, Derek Lunsford and Nick Walker stole the show with their incredible size and condition.
After the event, Nick Walker declared that he will win the 2022 Mr. Olympia. After winning the 2021 New York Pro, Arnold Classic and placing fifth at the 2021 Mr. Olympia, Nick Walker will be a serious threat to Big Ramy at the 2022 Mr. Olympia.
As of now, the fans our still desperate to see more from Big Ramy, but his latest actions do nothing to help him.
His team of Dennis James and Chad Nichols have been dead silent. Both Dennis and Chad reveal absolutely nothing about their star bodybuilder.
At the moment, all eyes are on Nick Walker and Brandon Curry in regards to the Mr. Olympia. Hadi Choopan is also mentioned on a number of occasions, but he is another star bodybuilder that is not so active on social media and rarely does guest posing appearances.
A number of bodybuilding media channels have been predicting that Nick Walker will win the 2022 Mr. Olympia. Hearing these predictions will either push Big Ramy to train harder, or it can have a negative effect on the 2X Mr. Olympia.
