A new star is born: Blessing Awodibu wins the 2022 Indy Pro.
The Boogeymen Man, Blessing Awodibu, has won his first every pro show and booked his ticket to the 2022 Mr. Olympia.
The 2022 Indy Pro took place on 14 May, 2022 at the Indiana Convention Center, Indiana.
The event was a 2022 Olympia Weekend qualifier and it included Open Bodybuilding, 212 Bodybuilding and Female Bodybuilding.
It was a special event with some new names fighting for a spot on the Olympia stage.
The Open Bodybuilding event was one of the best of the year, in regards to excitement, which included a fierce battle for the top spot.
The battle for the top spot was mainly between Blessing Awodibu, Charles Griffen and Max Charles, from a lineup of 13 athletes.
Blessing and Charles were called out on numerous occasions, standing side by side and made to work hard during their comparisons by the judges.
At the end, it would be Blessing taking the victory and his ticket to the 2022 Mr. Olympia.
Since turning pro at the 2017 Arnold Classic Europe, the last Arnold Classic Europe, affiliated with the NPC/Pro League, Blessing has become one of the most popular athletes in the bodybuilding industry.
Thanks to social media, Blessing has managed to get a massive following thanks to his entertaining videos.
Placing third at the 2021 Indy Pro and sixth at the 2021 New York Pro, many criticized Blessing, but he managed to put his head down and work in silence, proving his critics wrong.
Blessing will be a great addition to the Mr. Olympia lineup. His great personality will surely add more excitement to this event.
In the Men’s 212 event, Bryan Balzano defeated a stacked lineup of 14 athletes. It was a well deserved victory for the man from Ohio, earning him a spot at the 2022 Olympia Weekend.
Mexico’s Noel Adame finished in second, while Emmanuel Rodriguez had to settle for third.
Unfortunately, even though Female Bodybuilding has a large following, the number of athletes registering for events is still very low.
Only five athletes registered for the Female Bodybuilding event. Theresa Ivancik finished in first, booking her ticket to the Ms. Olympia, while fan favorite Stephanie Flesher was edged out and finished in second. Canada’s Lisa Kudrey had to settle for third.
