Over 800 athletes compete at 2022 IFBB Diamond Cup Egypt.
The IFBB organizes successful events all over the world, giving the opportunity for athletes to step on the world stage. Egypt is a perfect example of IFBB’s success at the 2022 IFBB Diamond Cup Ahmed Ali.
The 2022 IFBB Diamond Cup Ahmed Ali was open to all competitors from IFBB affiliated federations worldwide to this event.
The event took place on 29 October – 1 September 2022.
As with all other IFBB Diamond Cup events, this was an IFBB Elite Pro qualifier and as well an IFBB World Ranking event.
The event included Juniors Men’s Bodybuilding, Men’s Bodybuilding, Men’s Classic Physique, Men’s Physique & Masters Men’s Bodybuilding.
Events in Egypt are known to attract hundreds of athletes, but this years edition of the event would be a special occasion with over 800 athletes registering for the event.
From the 800 athletes that registered, The Men’s Physique division had 390 athletes, almost half of all the athletes that competed.
With such a high number of athletes competing, this is proof the work of the IFBB and IFBB President, Dr. Rafael Santonja, is showing its fruit in Egypt and neighboring countries.
The venue for this incredible event was at The Cairo International Stadium, the first of its kind with Olympic standards in the Middle East and Africa.
12 IFBB Elite Pro cards were available to be won, distributed between Master Men’s Bodybuilding, Men’s Bodybuilding, Men’s Physique and Men’s Classic Physique.
Being an amateur event, prize money is not usually awarded, but thanks to the sponsors, close to $40,000 was distributed evenly between the winning athletes.
