Chris Aceto praises Eduardo Correa on his incredible comeback.
Eduardo “Super Sliced” Correa has made an incredible comeback to qualify for the 2022 Olympia Weekend in the 212 Division.
Eduardo was unfortunately plagued with some serious injuries, to the point he was confined to a wheelchair for a period of time.
The last time Eduardo stepped on the Olympia stage was in 2019, where he placed seventh.
A regular top three finisher at the 212 Olympia, in 2014 Eduardo pushed Flex Lewis to the limit by finishing in second place.
In his entire bodybuilding career, Correa only placed out of the top five on two occasions, at the 2022 Arnold Classsic (Open) and the 2019 Mr. Olympia (212 Division).
Many believed that Eduardo would never compete at the highest level again, but after years of therapy, and going against doctors orders, Eduardo returned to the competitive stage this weekend (5 November, 2022) at the 2022 Musclecontest FitPira contest.
Eduardo won the 212 event to now qualify for the 2022 Olympia Weekend.
Eduardo looked to be in great condition, living up to his name of “Super Sliced”, a nickname that the late Shawn Rhoden gave him.
“Eduardo is one stubborn bastard” – Chris Aceto
In a short but powerful post on his official Instagram page, Chris Aceto praised Eduardo on his latest accomplishment.
Eduardo’s successful return to the bodybuilding stage arrived on the one year anniversary of the passing of 2018 Mr. Olympia Shawn Rhoden.
Chris, Shawn and Eduardo had a very close bond, and in his post, Chris explained how they traveled and lived together to create a friendship that is rarely seen in the sport of bodybuilding today.
Aceto is not one that posts everyday on his social media accounts, but with Eduardo making a return to the stage after so much adversity, and it happens to coincide with Shawn Rhoden’s anniversary of his passing, Chris made an exception.
At the end of his message, Chris refers to Eduardo as a “stubborn bastard”. Obviously not in a bad way, but to prove to the world that Eduardo did not take no for an answer.
Eduardo would fight through pain and every challenge to reach his goal, which he did successfully, shocking all his critics.
Chris Aceto’s message
On the one year mark, “anniversary” of the passing of Shawn Rhoden, Eduardo Correa wins the Muscle Contest in Brasil.
“Shawn was the one who Nic Named Eduardo “Super Sliced” and the three of us were very close. We traveled to shows together, lived together in small hotel rooms, ate and prepped together. We all formed a true bond and friendship over the years.
“No one would have been more motivated and more proud and excited for Eduardo then Shawn. Scroll thru the additional two pics and you will see this comeback was two years in the making. From therapy, to trying to “get back” what you had and lost to wheelchairs.
It was never a surprise to me though because I know Eduardo well and his inner strength and ability to focus is frankly both incomparable and inconceivable.
“Doctors told him “No”. Eduardo smiled and didn’t listen .One stubborn bastard” – Chris Aceto
