It seems a black cloud is hovering over the bodybuilding world with the death of another bodybuilder.
IFBB Pro Kristoffer Berner has passed away at the age of 43. Just a few days earlier, Danny Broadhurst passed away at the young age of 32.
According to sources, Krisoffer was prepping for the 2024 Chicago Pro, that is to take place 18-20 July 2024.
The cause of death was not confirmed at the time of publishing this article, but a professional bodybuilder passing away just days before an event is something to be concerned about.
The health and saftey of the athlete should be the top priority of the IFBB Pro League and NPC, and there have been several debates in the past if the federation should get involved.
Should mandatory health tests be done on the athletes registered to compete?
Is this something the IFBB Pro League or NPC should get involved in?
There are just too many frequent deaths in the bodybuilding industry, and the industry cannot just turn a blind eye to it any longer.
Earlier this year, Kristoffer competed at the 2024 New York Pro and finished in 16th place.
