Andrew Jacked is a definite threat to Derek Lunsford’s Mr. Olympia title.
Andrew Jacked has just won his third consecutive Texas Pro event, earning him qualification to the 2024 Mr. Olympia.
Andrew stole the show the minute he stepped on stage, with his enormous physique, presenting an almost perfect balance of muscle size, aesthetics, and condition.
With his Mr. Olympia qualification now confirmed, he can now concentrate on some more improvements to make a serious challenge to Lunsford’s Mr. Olympia title.
After finishing in fifth place at the 2023 Mr. Olympia, Andrew knows that he’s capable of placing higher and pushing Derek to the limit.
Andrew works in silence, and there has been a lot of speculation about how he will look at the 2024 Texas Pro.
But Andrew silenced all his critics and now is being hailed as the next Mr. Olympia.
A new outlook to the 2024 Mr. Olympia
At the time of publishing this article, the 2024 Olympia Weekend is exactly 60 days away.
Before the 2024 Texas Pro, the top athletes who were being talked about to challenge Derek Lunsford for his Mr. Olympia title were Hadi Choopan, Nick Walker, Samson Dauda, and Brandon Curry.
Andrew Jacked and Hunter Labrada were also talked about as outside favorites, but this has all changed with Andrew earning his qualification. Hunter still needs to qualify and is treading dangerously, leaving it to the last minute.
Judging from Andrew Jack’s victory at the Texas Pro, he has instantly become one of the top favorites to defeat Derek Lunsford.
Looking back at the history of bodybuilding, the bigger bodybuilder usually dominates the shorter or smaller competitor.
An exception can be made for Frank Zane, Franco Columbu, Hadi Choopan, and the defending champion Derek Lunsford.
If Derek, Hadi, Samson, and Andrew, are called out for comparisons, it will be a very difficult task for the judges, as they will have two giants against two average size athletes in regards to height.
Derek has enough size, but he will need to improve on his conditioning if he wants to keep his title.
Hadi Choopan could have easily won it last year, but the judges picked Derek for the victory. For this year, we can expect Hadi to arrive in his usually shredded condition, it will be interesting to see what improvements he makes.
It can be agreed that from now till October, Andrew will be included in every discussion about the 2024 Mr. Olympia.
