Schwarzenegger slams Men’s Physique board shorts and more…
Arnold Schwarzenegger is known to not hold back and say what’s on his mind, even if he will get criticized for his comments.
During the Men’s Physique final at the 2025 Arnold Classic, Arnold Schwarzenegger shared his opinion about the board shorts that the athletes wear.
Schwarzenegger believes that the majority of Men’s Physique competitors have fantastic leg development, and they should show their complete physique, and get rid of the board shorts.
Arnold had this to say about the Men’s Physique athletes wearing board shorts: “The interesting thing is they also have well-developed thighs, a lot of those guys. I don’t know why they make them wear those long shorts; for me, it’s bogus.”
“It’s a federation thing, I have nothing to do with it. If it were my choice, I would just tell them to wear regular bathing suits, because they have well-developed thighs, let’s see the whole body, that’s what we’re judging, why would you hide the legs all of a sudden.”

It remains to be seen if Jim Manion’s NPC or Pro League will respond to Arnold’s Men’s Physique criticism.
Arnold believes his show is better than the Mr. Olympia
On another note, Arnold Schwarzenegger had something to say about the Olympia Weekend, during his speech before the finals started on Saturday evening.
Arnold believes the Arnold Classic is the best bodybuilding event on earth, surpassing the Mr. Olympia, but at the same time he said he loves the Mr. Olympia.
Arnold went on to say: “We sold 20% more tickets this year than ever before, think about that.”
“It is without any doubt, the greatest bodybuilding show on earth, no two ways about it.”
“And yes, we are competing with the Mr. Olympia, and the Mr. Olympia is competing with us, but it’s a healthy competition, we love the Mr. Olympia competition.”
“They are doing a great job with that, but we are doing a better job with that.” – Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Saying the Arnold Classic is bigger than the Mr. Olympia is a bit far-fetched, being the Mr. Olympia pays out more prize money, and caters to hundreds of more athletes.
