2021 Mr. Universe Pro: The legendary event returns with success.
The Mr. Universe Pro event has finally returned to the IFBB competition calendar as an IFBB Elite Pro event.
The original contest was first launched in 1975, with Bob Birdsong winning the event.
The event was organized until 1981, to finally return in 2021 with great success.
Speaking to IFBB President Dr. Rafael Santonja, he was very happy with the organization and outcome of this event. Dr. Santonja continued to explain that such a historic competition added to the IFBB Elite Pro calendar of events, will give much more opportunities for the Elite Pro athletes to achieve success.

The historic event took place on 2 October, 2021 at the beautiful location, Marbella, Spain.
The original Mr. Universe Pro was a male dominant event, now in 2021, a number of divisions were added, including female events.
Along with the IFBB Mr. Universe Pro, other events included were Men’s Physique, Bikini Fitness, and Wellness categories. A total of $20,000 in prize money will be up for grabs for the Mr. Universe Pro while another $12,000 will be shared between the other divisions, bringing the total to $32,000.
The highlight of the evening was the Mr. Universe Pro Open Bodybuilding competition.
2021 IFBB Elite Pro World Champion, Michal Krizanek, added another prestigious title to his vast collection by winning this event.
Michal’s popularity has exploded thanks to his consistent winning streak and his fantastic physique.
The bodybuilding media from all over the world has been featuring Michal on a number of their news updates.
Building on these victories, Michal is sure to continue dominating this sport.
Second place went to IFBB Elite Pro Prague winner, Pavel Koukal.
Pavel presented a well balanced, conditioned physique. Unfortunately for him, he had to stand next to the monster Michal Krizanek. Pavel is certain to continue having success within the IFBB Elite Pro division.
Third place went to Rene Gorol, the man from the Czech Republic again placed behind Prague Pro winner Pavel Koukal. A very good result for the young athlete who is making a name for himself within the IFBB Elite Pro.
Rene is not the biggest bodybuilder, but his condition and balance is the key for his great results.
Spain’s Carlos Blanco and the veteran Tomas Kaspar from the Czech Republic placed fourth and fifth respectively.
In the other divisions, Bikini Fitness was won by Spain’s Lina Bejarano. She went one better at the Universe Pro, by improving on her second place finish at the IFBB Elite Pro World Championships.
IFBB Elite Pro’s most consistent and active athlete, Karina Gavrikova placed in second. Fresh from her victory at the Prague Pro, the IFBB Elite Pro Master’s World Champion was very happy with her placing.
Third place went to Spain’s Victoria Perez. Victoria made a fantastic improvement from her eighth place finish at the 2021 IFBB Elite Pro World Championships. This placing will give Victoria the confidence to continue striving for great results.
The most successful Body Fitness athlete, Adela Ondrejovicova is back to her winning ways after failing to win the 2021 IFBB Elite Pro Championships.
Alina Yaman improved on her third place finish at the 2021 IFBB Elite Pro World Championships by placing second. A great improvement for the athlete from Ukraine.
Third place went to 2021 IFBB Elite Pro World Champion Sabine Simitsopoulos. Sabine presented a great physique, but unfortunately could not match her performance just a few weeks before.
Brazil’s Lexy Oliver continued her success in the Wellness division. Fresh from her victory at the 2021 IFBB Elite Pro Elite Pro World Championships, Lexy continued to dominate the Wellness division, adding another prestigious title to her collection.
The face of IFBB Elite Pro, Dmytro Horobets continues to dominate the Men’s Physique division. With over 20 victories to his name, Dmytro has set the standard for Men’s Physique.
Dmytro is the present and future of bodybuilding and fitness, always displaying a perfectly balanced physique.
